We should never resent the blessings God gives others- especially those that seem “undeserved.” He pursues all of us with a relentless love. Even to the cross.

He loves you THIS much.
“God, strengthen my faith.”
“I am, child. But faith is a shield. You must put down your other weapons to pick it up.”So I repent: of pride, of rationalization, of bargaining, of “trying harder”. Only God can heal. Only He can give faith. I need Him desperately… and I hope I never forget that again.
Perfect.
Thought: It seems like failure is scrawled all over my life.
The issue with this thought is that God does not speak this way. He speaks words of encouragement, love, and HOPE. Discouragement, by definition, is the loss of hope. If you have Him, there is ALWAYS hope.
Amen.

Written absently while teaching guided reading about the polar bears and climate change.
After too little sleep.
And too much arguing.
And a student throwing a chair across the room.
His love truly never, ever fails.
He does not make mistakes. All our days were written in His book before we live even one.
God has not been removed from schools.
He is a light in dark places, and is near to His children. As long as WE are in schools, He is still there. Looking for opportunities to acknowledge His presence today.
Grateful for sun-soaked tables occupied by beautiful women you can be real with. God brought us here and He certainly knows what He’s doing :)
What an amazing gift I’ve been given…
If I made an Ann Voscamp-esque gratitude list Fro Yo Culture, and the related good times and deliciousness, would make up a solid tenth of it.
